My Favorite Writing Place

When I first started college a year ago I hated writing papers. When I started writing the paper I would just write down what came to my mind. I did not do any free writing. After a received a couple of D's on my papers I ask my instructor for advice on improvement. He ask me what my steps were in Starting my paper. He told me to do free writing, so I did and it worked. Now, I free write first, before every paper. Sometimes, when my house gets really loud I get in my car and take a drive to a nearby park, and it helps me. I collect my toughts best when there is quiteness. Also, the Library is another favorite palce of mine to write. It is quite and there are many resources available for me to work with. I like to write my introduction one night, then go back and revise the introduction the next night. Then write the body, and revise it the next night. The same technique applies for my conclusion. If you think about it for a minute revising as you go can help your final revision process. Jenny

My Frist Day at MTSU

Well, I have officially started attending the biggest University in Tennessee, Middle Tennessee State University. I come from a tiny community college in Gallatin, Tennessee. So, when I arrived at my first class, the class had 96 students in there, and I was like, WOW! It was crazy in there. People were in the wrong class. I ended up getting lost for my second class. I walked to one end of the campus just to find out my class was at the other end. Do you know how irritating that is? I hope my second day, which is tomorrow is better. Please wish me well! Jenny
